A140 Long Stratton: Hempnall Crossroads Junction Improvement Traffic Management Information
The above scheme to replace the existing crossroads junction with a roundabout will start on 20 May 2019, with preliminary work taking place from 7 May. The scheme will help to unlock economic growth and development in the area, improve road safety at a junction with a history of accidents and improve access from side roads onto the A140.
The roundabout will be built to the west of the existing crossroads in order to keep disruption to a minimum. Traffic management arrangements are as follows:
7 May – 20 May: mandatory 30mph speed limit and lane closure on A140 between 8pm – 6am
20 May – 1 November: mandatory 30mph speed limit on A140 24 hours a day
Further details of other necessary traffic management will be publicised as the scheme progresses.
