Harleston & District u3a’s August talk, on 17 August at 2.00 pm in St John’s Church Harleston, presented by Bob Goddard, is entitled ‘Our Colony on the Moon.’ Bob has spent eight years researching whether the Moon – given its plentiful water ice and solar power, and our growing realisation that planet Earth is vulnerable to asteroid and comet impacts – is the obvious first destination for an off-planet human colony to ensure that the human species is safe from extinction.
