CARNIVAL TIME IS HERE - & WE NEED YOU!

One of the biggest days in the village calendar will take place on
Saturday 11 September with the Pulham Market Carnival. This
year's theme is 'Legends, Myths & Stories' so there's plenty of scope
for imagination!

Not many villages can boast their own carnival yet this will be
Pulham's 39th and we need your help in the following ways:
Please enter the procession. So far, four floats have definitely been
entered but we're hoping for more. Pedestrian entries, plus barrows,
trolleys, pushchairs, buggies and wheelchairs will be welcome! The
procession this year will be led by the Southwold & Reydon Corps Of
Drums and will include the Heart Angels.

We also need stalls and sideshows to help make the day a success so if
you want to enter the procession or reserve a pitch on the Village
Green, please contact John Graham on 01379 853717 or email
johngrahamac@btinternet.com

How about getting a team together to enter the Tug-O-War
competition to challenge last year's winners, the Falcon Inn? Contact
John Graham for details.

A programme of entertainment is being arranged for the arena on the
Green so if you belong to, or know of, an organisation that can
perform for us, please contact David Vince on 01379 608768 or email
d_f_vince@yahoo.co.uk

We need lots of people to donate cakes. please, and also volunteers to
serve refreshments in the Memorial Hall. If you can help in either
way, please contact John Bradford on 01379 676642 or email
yellowmonty49@yahoo.co.uk

Volunteers to help prepare the Green, put up tents, gazebos etc, will
be very welcome, as will people to help by staffing stalls on behalf of
the Carnival to raise money for future carnivals and to give small
grants to local organisations. John Bradford would love to hear from
you.

We'll be setting up on the Green from 8.30am on Saturday 11th, the
procession begins at 1.30pm from Julian's Road and the fun begins on
the Green at 2pm.

Please contact us NOW to let us know how you can play your part
and let's all make it a Carnival to remember on 11 September!
