The Norfolk Mobile Library Service is having a revamp this spring!
Our fleet of mobile library vans visit over 500 villages across Norfolk, making almost 1500 stops each month and covering 121,000km, so there’s almost certainly a stop near you.
Our mobile libraries provide a vital service across rural Norfolk, combatting loneliness, isolation, and making reading and learning accessible to all members of our communities, including those who need us most.
We’re also flexible! Use our website to reserve any library item for only 60p and arrange to collect it from your local mobile stop. When you borrow from us, you benefit from an eight-week loan period instead of the usual three. Plus, if you can’t return your mobile library books on time, there are no fines to pay.
You might already be aware that as of April 2019, our mobile library service to Pulham Market is changing, making more efficient use of our resources so that we can continue to serve the rural communities in Norfolk.
This updated route will be on a Friday, 4 weekly, starting on 5 April.
We will be in Pulham Market between 12:45 and 16:10 with four stops, so hopefully there will be one that is convenient to everyone who wants to use the service. We have changed our timetables so that we can be out for longer and stop later in the day, so that people can catch us on the way home from work, or the school run.
The new stops are as follows:
12:45 – 13:10 at CHAPEL CLOSE
14:20 – 14:35 at THE GREEN
14:45 – 15:45 at SPRINGFIELD WALK
15:50 – 16:10 at JULIANS WAY
(Note to our existing customers: This is a change of day and regularity from before.)
We have a varied selection of fiction and non-fiction books available, including local interest and books for children and teenagers, too. We also offer a variety of DVDs, CDs and audio books on CD or cassette tape. If you’re not a Norfolk Library member, find your nearest stop and we can sign you up with a card then and there.
We hope to see you on April 5!
