Harleston Choral Society will, once again, be holding a two-day singing workshop.  This will be on 17th and 18th August, for members and non-members, in St James Village Hall IP19 OPH.  There will be four half-day ‘pick and mix’ sessions, 10.00 am – 4.00 pm, £5.00 per session.  You can bring your own lunch, or buy soup and a roll for £5.00.

Saturday

10.00 am – 11.00 am: reading music – the basics

11.30 am – 12.30 pm:  performance studies and Latin pronunciation in singing

Lunch

13.30 – 14.30  breathing techniques and warming up, using music from Carl Orff Carmina Burana

Tea break

15.00 – 16.00  continue with Carmina Burana

Sunday

10.00 am – 11.00 am come and sing session:  warm up and work on Sanctus from Haydn Missa Sancti Nicolai

Tea break

11.30 am – 12.30  continue with Haydn

Lunch

13.30 – 14.30 come and sing session:  Ding Dong Merrily on High

Tea break

15.00 – 15.45  continue with Ding Dong

15.45 – 16.00  run the numbers from the weekend
