Pulham Market is one of the few villages in Norfolk to hold its own annual Carnival which takes place in mid-September each year.
Local businesses, clubs, families and individuals enter floats or dress up with carnival themes which in recent years have ranged  from ‘Board Games’ to ‘The Movies’.
A local celebrity usually opens the Carnival.
There is a procession around the village starting from the Playing Field and led by a marching band, ending on the Green where the floats are judged.
Entertainment continues throughout the afternoon on the Green with activities such as stilt walking, balloon modelling and face painting, stalls and games, and sometimes races and competitions for children and adults and even tug-o-war, usually between competing teams from the two pubs.
