Pulham Market Music Day 2018

24th June 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm

This is an annual free musical event held on the Green on the last Sunday in June.
The event was first staged in 1992, co-founded by Mrs Ann Ford and the late Dr Patrick Rawlence, as part of a National Music Day initiated by rock singer Mick Jagger and Tim Renton, the then Arts Minister, as a way of encouraging local communities to get involved in music.
While the national event fizzled out, Pulham Market’s Music Day has carried on, drawing a large number of visitors into the village to enjoy an eclectic programme of vocalists, bands and fun acts.
The day usually starts with a peal from the Pulham Church Bell Ringers and the choir from Pulham Primary School have performed at nearly every Music Day since its inception.
Visitor can bring rugs, deckchairs and picnics, while the village pubs, village shop, local ice cream and hot dog vendors ensure that nobody goes hungry or thirsty.
Music ranges from folk and rock to the blues and everything else in between.
