In the heart of Waveney Valley

Churches

Pulham Market has two lively and active churches; the parish church of St Mary Magdalene, a beautiful 15th century building to the south of The Green, and Pulham Market Methodist Church, a recently extended 19th century red-brick building with adjoining meeting hall, situated in Bank Street. The two churches work in partnership.
St Mary Magdalene is a gateway church and is open for visitors at all reasonable times.  Details of services and church groups are published in the Parish Magazine. The church is part of the Benefice of Dickleburgh and the Pulhams which covers six parishes. There is a 12-mile walk trail which links the eight churches of the benefice – walk guides are available from the tourist offices in Diss and Harleston.  For more information go directly to the Benefice.

Pulham Market Parochial Church Council is responsible for the financial affairs of St Mary Magdalene and the care and maintenance of the church fabric and its contents. For more information, please Email Charlotte Hays.

Pulham Market Methodist Church is part of the Waveney Valley, please go to the Ecumenical Partnership for more information –   a group of nine Christian churches set alongside the River Waveney between Harleston and Bungay.  In addition to its regular services, it runs a Sunday School every Sunday at 10.45 am in the Methodist Hall and on the second Sunday the children join in an All Age Worship service. It also holds Open House Drop-In Coffee Mornings on Wednesdays, 10am to noon. All ages welcome.
